Hero’s mum booked her dog photography session to create some portraits of her dog in their happy place: Battersea. We aimed to create some portraits of Hero on Albert Bridge, Battersea Park and Battersea Power Station, to showcase her favourite London landmarks, and the places she loves to explore with her dog.
ABOUT HERO'S DOG PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION
Our priority for the dog photography session was a shot on Albert Bridge in Battersea, so we arrange to meet there. As we had planned to take some pictures in the middle of the bridge, we needed to meet when the traffic was quiet, and the sunlight still soft, which in summer meant meeting at 6 am.
We were not disappointed and had plenty of time to take shots on the bridge and the surrounding area. Hero posed like a pro and meticulously followed his mum’s instructions as she was directing him on the bridge. Here are some of our favourite shots on the bridge.
Once we were happy with the shots, we moved to the other location Hero’s mum really wanted images of: Battersea Power Station, which at the time was still closed. There is a short walk between Albert Bridge and the Power Station, and it’s by the river through Battersea Park. We wanted to continue the dog photography session around the station but decided to stop a couple of times to take some more portraits on the way. Hero enjoyed his walk in the park and took a few breaks too, which are always welcome!
We finally reached our final location when the sun was still quite low, and the surroundings were still pretty quiet! We made sure we had the main shot of the dog photography session, a portrait of Hero in front of Battersea Power Station! Once we were happy with the result, off we went to explore the area and find some more pretty spots to continue our photoshoot. Here are the resulting images!
