about me
London Dog Photograhper and cat mum
Some of you know me as Elena, El, Ele, or Elly (I’ll respond to any of the above), and I am the caffeine-fueled, monochrome-holic, sighthound-obsessed human behind Pawtiqe (nope, no U in Pawtiqe, guys).
Italian by origin, Londoner by choice, and proud holder of the well-deserved “cat lady” title (not gone crazy JUST YET), I share my life with Keira & Macha (Keira’s bum being the star of many test shots).
I’m a London-based dog photographer who believes that dogs are works of art who belong on walls. I specialise in black and white, fine art dog photography that captures the elegant, ridiculous, and utterly unique presence of your dog against the architectural backdrop of London.

what
is black and white dog portraiture
Pawtiqe is a tongue-in-cheek celebration of the subtle art of being dog. Guided by the mantra Dog is Art, I create commissioned fine art photography that transforms your dog into a living masterpiece, set against the timeless beauty of London’s architecture.
Each session is a mix of clean lines, striking contrasts, and just the right amount of canine mischief. One moment your dog is exuding regal grandeur, the next they’re mid-sneeze. That’s the beauty of it.
London offers the perfect canvas – its historic streets, classical facades, and moody light create the ideal setting for stylish, elegant, and completely unpretentious dog portraits.
My Approach
to dog photography
Dog photography in London doesn’t have to be cheesy. No over-the-top props, no awkward poses, no forced grins. Just your dog, in all their natural, beautiful, sometimes ridiculous glory.
My style is minimalist, timeless, and full of character. A black and white portrait strips away distractions, focusing on form, structure, and emotion. Think of ancient Greek temples: once covered in vivid colour, now admired for their raw, enduring beauty. That’s how I see black and white photography – it reveals what’s essential.
who
my dog photography is for
My humans understand that their dog is not just a pet but a work of art. They appreciate quality, aesthetics, and a bit of irony. They know that elegance and playfulness can (and should) coexist.
Every session is tailored to create something unique for you. From the moment you commission a portrait, you get a bespoke experience – including a welcome pack with a “Dog is Art” ID tag, because yes, your dog is a masterpiece, but they also might wander off mid-session.
why
black and white dog photography
I get asked this a lot: Do you ever shoot in colour?
Short answer? No.
Long answer? Because colour is fleeting. It ties an image to a specific moment, but reality shifts. What lasts is form, structure, essence. A dog’s presence isn’t about the shade of their fur, but the way they hold themselves, the way light sculpts their form. Black and white photography isn’t about realism; it’s about revealing what truly matters.
ARE YOU READY TO CELEBRATE THE ART OF BEING DOG IN LONDON?
All you have to do is to admit that your dog is a work of art.
